First National Bank of Starbuck understands that the security of your personal account information is important to you.

All of our Internet servers use firewalls, data encryption and virus protection. Account numbers are not displayed over the Internet, and you may choose your own personal descriptive names to identify your accounts.

Please know that First National Bank will never send you an e-mail asking for personal information. If you receive an e-mail asking you to provide personal and/or sensitive information, do not click on any link and do not send the information. Even if the website and/or e-mail appear genuine, do not continue. Please contact the bank if you have any questions.

For your increased security First National Bank Online Banking will require acceptance of a persistent cookie when accessing your account information. Please ensure that your browser settings accept persistent cookies.

Log-in Protection

Customers will have a private password and user ID for their initial login to the online system. The system will require you to change your password after the first login. Online Banking passwords are alphanumeric and must be 6 to 8 characters in length. You will be required to change your password every 90 days.

The system is designed to deny access to a customer’s account if three unsuccessful login attempts are made. If you are logged onto Online Banking, and do not perform any activity for 10 minutes, your logged in session will be automatically shutdown, and you will need to re-enter your password.

Your Role in Security

While we work to protect your banking privacy, you will also play an important role in the protection of your personal account information. Please take the following steps to protect your information:

  • Choose a password that is not easy for someone else to guess.
  • Memorize your password! Do not write it down.
  • Do not share your Online user ID or password with anyone else. If you think that anyone else may have discovered your user ID or password, change it immediately and contact us at (320) 239-2222 .
  • Change your Online user ID and password as often as you wish.
  • Once you have finished your session, sign off before visiting other Internet sites. To assure the security of your account, be sure to click EXIT.

Supported Browsers (current and prior major release)

To ensure optimal security and access to all features in our online banking product, we recommend using one of the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE)
  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari (Apple/Mac Users Only)

Important: We do not support Safari 5.1.4 or 5.1.5. These browser releases have impacted many industries -- not just our online and mobile banking products. If you absolutely must use these older versions, you will need to use the following workaround: After login, click the refresh button (on the browser toolbar) to re-load the screen. Note: This will need to be repeated with each login.

How do I tell if the site I am on is secure?

Once you get to the site, the Web address will begin with https: ("s" for secure).

The yellow locked padlock appearing on your screen will confirm the site's increased security. For more details about the encryption status of the page when it was received, click the lock icon.

Important: The lock icon only describes the encryption status of the page while your computer was receiving it.
